Abstract

Oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) is a potentially malignant disorder with high rate of malignant transformation. Oral epithelium being thin and atrophic becomes more vulnerable to attack of carcinogens. Malignant transformation in OSMF usually occurs gradually over a long period of time. Here, we report a case of oral submucous fibrosis turning into malignancy in a 27-year-old male patient.
